Alex Douglas
Alex Douglas joined Investure in May 2019. Previously she worked at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where she focused on hedge funds as well as traditional equity and fixed income investments. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked at the Georgetown University Investment Office, where she focused on public market investments, macroeconomic research, and asset allocation. Earlier in her career, Alex worked for a private foundation effort within the Atlantic Media Company, where she oversaw programming focused on the U.S. policy response to terrorism and the advancement of civil society in developing countries.
Alex earned her BS from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She serves as a member of the Investment Committee for both The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia and the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
