Puja Seam
Puja Seam joined Investure in February 2012 to build Investure’s internal legal function and serve as its first General Counsel. A partner of the firm, she is Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for the Client, Legal & Compliance, and HR & Administration Teams. Prior to joining Investure, Puja was a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins LLP where she represented private equity firms, investment banks, corporations, and other market participants in fund formation, capital market offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other investment transactions. Before joining Latham & Watkins LLP, Puja practiced corporate law at WilmerHale LLP and clerked for then Vice Chancellor Leo E. Strine, Jr. in the Delaware Court of Chancery. Puja began her career as an analyst in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in New York.
Puja earned her B.A. in Government and Foreign Affairs with high honors from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. Puja is a member of the Virginia Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy and the Financial Resources Committee of St. Anne’s Belfield School. She also serves on the Investment Committee of Sweet Briar College. She is a former President of the Benefactors’ Board of the University of Virginia’s College of Arts & Sciences and an emeritus member of the Board of Managers of the University of Virginia Alumni Association.
